Wonders of the world: Esperance beaches.A NEW commercial designed to entice travellers to the pristine shores of Esperance has debuted on television.
Australia’s Golden Outback chief executive Jac Eerbeek said the 15 second commercial, which was officially launched in Esperance in early June, ran on GWN in its northwest division.
“Running the commercial now will get into the head of people camping in places like Broome, especially as they start to head south,” he said.
Mr Eerbeek said the commercial was aimed at the grey nomad market. He said the commercial was given a run during a screening of Escape to the Country on 7TWO over the weekend, a channel available in Esperance.
The clip was jointly funded by Australia’s Golden Outback, Tourism Esperance and the Shire of Esperance.
Local film-maker Jennene Riggs and photographer Dan Paris were behind its production.
Mr Eerbeek said the object in designing the commercial was to inspire people to visit Esperance. “It needed to reaffirm people’s beliefs about the town as a fantastic destination, to look professional and to leave a strong impression in people’s minds,” he said.
The commercial is hoped to appeal to all markets, whether interstate, intrastate or overseas. View the commercial online by searching for Lucky Bay, Esperance – Whitest Beaches in Australia.
