Thunder Local Hero

Fairfield Liverpool speedster Gurinder Sandhu helped launch the Thunder Local Hero community program last week. The Thunder Local Hero program is free for all schools to sign up and will see Sydney Thunder players adopted by schools for summer. Each school that registers will receive a Thunder Local Hero activity pack.To register your school, click here.

Two Blues at finals

Cabramatta junior rugby league club are set for a big fortnight. The Two Blues will contest first division grand finals in the under-10s, 11s and 12s this weekend. They have also already qualified for the under-15s division one grand final in a fortnight. The under-14s and under-16s have the chance to join them when they play in the preliminary finals matches this weekend.

Bill Turner football

Bossley Park High School’s under-15 football team will battle for the Bill Turner Cup trophy this week. The school played Brisbane-based Cavendish Road in the semi-finals at Newcastle yesterday. The final will be played today. Meanwhile, Westfields Sports High School under-15s females will play for the Bill Turner Trophy.Westfields played defending champions Hunter Sports High School in the semi-final on Tuesday for a place in today’s final.
