RIDERS of all ages are invited to jump on their horse and gallop to the Denman Charity Horse Ride this Saturday.
The annual event supports the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and all the fun begins at the Denman Pony Club grounds at 7am for breakfast.
Denman Charity Horse Ride president Norm Jones has been a part of the fundraiser since it began 26 years ago.
He said it had been a successful, family day out every year.
“In 2013, we had about 120 riders,” he told the Hunter Valley News.
“We expect a good crowd this year too.”
After breakfast, the group will muster at 8am and leave shortly after.
Morning tea will be provided during the trail, which is approximately 25 kilometres and lunch will be available at its completion.
The fun continues into Saturday evening with an auction, band, bar, barbecue and dancing.
Camping is available at the pony club grounds.
The cost is $10 to enter, or $30 for a family; and stallions are not permitted.
