Motorcycle fatalityInvestigations are continuing after a man, who is yet to be identified, died in a crash on Montpelier Drive, The Oaks. The man’s motorcycle and a truck collided about 9.30am on Monday. He died at the scene. A report is being prepared for the coroner.

Spate of car theftsThere had been an increase in stolen motor vehicles in the Camden local area police command in the past two months, Camden manager Detective Inspector Jayne Doherty said. She said the thefts, including 17 in August, were spread across the command which indicated no single person or group was responsible for the thefts. Over the weekend a car, with the keys in the ignition, and a work van were stolen in Bargo while other thefts have occurred in Narellan, Camden, Harrington Park and Tahmoor. ‘‘People are reminded to remove all valuables from vehicles and to ensure they are locked and keys secured whilst the vehicle is unattended to reduce the opportunity for theft,’’ Detective Inspector Doherty said.

Drugs seizedPolice seized ecstasy tablets and cannabis from three teenagers in Tahmoor about 9.20pm on Saturday. Police stopped a Bargo man, 19, on York Street and found two ecstasy tablets, they said. About 10 minutes later police spoke to two Bargo men, both 18, in York Street and founda small amount of cannabis in their car. The 19-year-old will face Picton Court at a future date and one ofthe 18-year-olds was given a cannabis caution.
