Jenny Parer (left) with guest artist Susan O’Brien. The Holbrook Art and Photography Show has started with a bang with around 100 people attending opening night lastFriday.
This year the show will split the proceeds with the Ovarian Cancer Awareness Group who will help with the running of the show and spread their message at the event.
“The food went well, the art was appreciated and I believe the guest artists had a great time,” organiser Milt Golenberg said.
“There were a few paintings sold on opening night and over the next couple of days we sold a few more.”
There is something for each taste at the art show with pieces ranging from metal art, sculptures, paintings, photographs and clay frocks.
Another one of the organisers Jenny Parer said many hours of work had gone into the admission side of the show.
The art show featured two artists, Susan O’Brien and Suzie O’Shea.
“We go to other art shows and see work we like then contact the artist and ask if they would like to come,” Ms Parer said.
The event is run by the Holbrook Rotary with an art committee within the club organising the event.
