The project will be based at the Ingham Institute and aims to use new technology to detect tumour cells in a cancer patient’s blood stream.
Managing director Fazila Farhad said Ibis Styles Sydney Lansvale collaborated with Lions Club Cabramatta to organise and sponsor the event.
She said the hotel provided the venue, food and entertainment, as well as bottles ofvintage wine to be auctioned on the night.
“It is something we love to support, especially because the doctors are very committed,” Ms Farhad said. “And because it is a good cause I offered the venue and said we would sell about 130 tickets. We want to help as much as we can.”
Ms Farhad said the hotel was always proud to support the community.
“You get back what you put in and events like this really help,” she said.
“There should always be support coming back from local businesses.”
The dinner will be held on Friday, October 31, from 6.30pm.
Tickets cost $100 and can be bought at the hotel’s reception or through the Lions Club Cabramatta.
