MEMBERS and guests of Southern Highlands Business Women’s Network (BWN) are gearing up for their annual luncheon to be held at Mittagong RSL on Tuesday, September 16 at 12.30pm.
As always, this much-anticipated event has attracted a leading and inspirational presenter with television personality and iconic journalist, Geraldine Doogue featuring as guest speaker.
Ms Doogue will discuss the launch of her new book, entitled, The Climb: Conversations with Australian Women in Power, a topic that is very close to her heart.
The book focuses on how women are represented a the top levels of power in Australia, a central issue to our times.
The Climb gets to the heart of what it means to be a woman in power in Australia and features candid and personal conversations with 14 women leading the way in fields as wide-ranging as business, politics, religion, education and the armed forces.
Inspiring and insightful, The Climb reveals a varied and at times unexpected picture of contemporary Australia.
It is expected the annual BWN luncheon will attract record numbers of members and their guests as they gather to listen to Ms Doogue’s experience in the field of women’s business in Australia and bookings should be made early to avoid disappointment.
The cost is $65 per person for members and guests, including a two-course lunch and glass of sparkling wine on arrival.
