Two adult fairies, Fairy Cup Cake and Fairy Rosa visited a number of children throughout the hospital and spent time talking to and playing with the children. Four-year-olds Zara Buric and Sofia Donnay were both noticeably excited at the fairies’visit.

Westmead Childrens hospital said it was a fantastic event that helped to put a smile on the children’s faces.

The initiative was organised by Lil Fairy Doors founder Sally Copus with the help of the children’s hospital.

“As a cancer survivor myself, I know what a huge impact being sick can have on your life,” Ms Copus said.

“Sitting in those hospital rooms, feeling as horrible as I did myself, it made me think about all the little people going through the same thing.”
